Through Fellowship, Fun, and Funding, BMC creates meaningful experiences and practical support that help mothers thrive spiritually, socially, and economically.
Fellowship
We anchor our motherhood journey in God’s Word. We deepen our faith through bible studies, lifting each other up in prayer sessions, and finding spiritual guidance to navigate the challenges of mom-life. In community with fellow moms, we grow in love, compassion, and kindness – just like Jesus.
We thrive in community! We connect with moms across Nigeria and beyond through virtual chats, peer support, and mentoring – sharing joys, struggles, and growth in motherhood. We also host sessions with wise older women who share real talk on work, family and life. In fellowship, we laugh, learn, and lift each other up, fulfilling the law of Christ: “Bear one another’s burdens…” (Galatians 6:2).
Laughter, play, and joy-filled moments – we make space for it all! At Budding Mothers Club, we have regular virtual hangouts like game nights, mom-and-kid activities, and silly chats. Plus, we take it offline too! We inaugurated physical hangout groups in select locations, so moms could connect, laugh, and recharge in person.
Fun
Mentorship Program
Our mentorship program pairs moms with seasoned professionals or entrepreneurs in their area of interest, providing a supportive community and expert guidance to help them thrive. Recognizing the growing need for guidance and support, we launched our mentorship program with 5 inaugural matches in January 2026. Our goal is to empower moms to achieve their personal and professional goals, build meaningful connections, and contribute to their communities.

Small Business Liquidity Loan Program
Many BMC mothers turn to entrepreneurship to offset economic pressures while balancing childcare responsibilities. Despite their resilience, they face limited access to financing, rising inflation, and increasing operational costs.
To respond, BMC launched the small business interest-free loan program in 2023 providing a six-month loan repayment period with the first month of moratorium. The program supports working capital needs, market expansion, and operational improvements across various sectors such as catering, tutoring, retail, and laundry. Supported businesses have demonstrated consistent loan repayment and growth.
As our members continued to express the need for medium-term financing to pursue higher-value business opportunities, we launched a Practical Grant Writing Workshop accompanied by a Pitch Competition designed to build capacity and unlock funding opportunities for women entrepreneurs.
The workshop equipped participants with practical skills in:
- Crafting compelling business stories
- Identifying and articulating the problem their business solves
- Developing strong grant proposals
- Building realistic budgets and financial projections
- Demonstrating business impact and sustainability
- Presenting confidently to potential funders
Participants then had the opportunity to apply these concepts in a live pitch competition before an independent judging panel, gaining valuable feedback and real-world experience in seeking funding.
In addition to the learning experience, participants competed for business grants, with the winner receiving a $250 first-place prize to support the growth of her venture.
